Default RE: If you installed a king cobra clutch..

I just looked at my King Cobra clutch kit that I have sitting in the garage that I got straight from Jegs. First, it is made by Valeo. I don't see any notches in the fingers, but the part number M-7560-C302N is stamped right on the pressure plate. This is the same number listed on Ford Racing's website.

Most clutch discs are made by Valeo, excluding the higher-end ones, of course. My Ram HD was a Valeo disc, asare most stock Ford replacements, and the KC.

i have a kind cobra clutch in my car and hate it. it never slips, and grabs super, but its ungodly hard to press. i break a clutch cable about every 200 or so miles, and im getting tired of it. A couple of my buddys use spec stage 2 clutches so i think thats what im going with next, ive driven both of their cars and it has a nice pedal feel and has held up on their 11 second cars.

The KC is supposed to be 10% easier than stock....sounds like something else may be the issue, not the clutch.....

Mine is no way near hard enough to brake a cable but it is a little stiffer. i would check out your clutch fork or youre bearing retainer. both things could cause the clutch to be harder then normal to engage.
