Sell this 84 5.0 GLX convertible or not? Help!
I am the second owner of a 1984 (and a half I think?) 5.0 convertible. The VIN tells me that it is a GLX edition. I had intended on keeping and restoring her; then Mother Nature decided my money would be better spent on two real babies instead of this one. Last night a guy saw the car in the driveway and asked me if I wanted to sell her. I think that might be a better thing to do than let her sit in the driveway and fade away. Problem is that I have absoluelty no idea what price range I should be in. She runs ok when the battery is charged, but needs new paint and a new interior. I'd say she's in maybe fair shape depending on how the planets align. Can anyone give me any tips as to what price range I should be in? It would be so very much appreciated!

After the little bit of info I have been able to find out (can you tell I'm a total rookie?) I wish! No, it's red with a red interior. When I bought it back in the late 80's they told me it was an 84 1/2 and some sort of change had been made from the original 84. Does that make sense?

This year I bought a 83 GLX convertible with a 302. It is an ealy build car with a 4 speed. I paid $1650 for it form a used car dealer. The top motor spins, but doesnt go down. Everything else works including the air. I wanted a convertible and found this. It is an Arkansas car with no rust. If I were you I would keep it, but I have this thing for cars. (I have 8 now). The verts will go up in value IMO. Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

NO dash plaques. Mine is an 83, red, white interior with a white top. Someone changes the original wheels for a set of GT wheels off an 87- up. I dont have any pics. It isnt in great shape, but runs and drives good. Had a cam installed in it (for a few more horses). Car has a little over 120,000 on it. Ill eventually get some pics. Thanks

Pictures would help.
Your car doesn't sound like it in the greatest condition.
You say it needs a new paint job and interior, how many miles (sounds like it has a lot)?
I would guess you might sell it for $1,500.00 to $2,500.00.

Sell it, in the future when the kids and done crapping themselves and can be a lil more independant buy another and get exactly what you want. I'd say the car's worth $2500, as long as the top is leak proof. Good Luck
