sounds like an ignition problem for sure, but ive never heard of the ignition switch going out. if capable try going into the ignt. switch ans check it. if you can make it jump by connecting it manualy its gotta be the switch.

how about the tiny red wire with a l-shaped rubber cover that goes to the top of your ignition celonoid(the circular piece next to the battery where the Positive cable goes, and the starter wire hooks to)? if that little wire isnt hooked, it wont start.. also sometimes the ignition celonoid itself locks open and wont fire to the starter sometimes if you have a hot battery signal.

Those damn things burn out alot. The celonoid next to the battery (not the switch where the key goes in)

its the ignition then, you will have to put a new one in. its problaly worn and just not making contact, because if it will fire with a switch everything else is good.

you know, you can jump it through the selonoid with a screwdriver, even if the selonoid had gone bad... chances are thats what it is.

The selonoid sticks open and will not let the battery signal reach the starter inside the selonoid.. so even if you jump it with a screwdriver its not 100% sure. Id replace the selonoid first, theyre cheap. If its still bad you have to open the steering column
