do you have stud mount rockers or pedestal mount. if its stud its just until they wont spin then back off just until they will barely spin,tighten half a turn,the pushrods that is then tighten the polly locks. for pedestal mount its zero lash then its whatever ft lbs of torque your manufacturer calls for and this usually must be reached in more than 1/2 turn and less than 1-1/4 turns. less than a 1/2 =rocker needs to be shimmed, more than 1-1/4 turns = longer push rods.

they are stud mount. So tighten them till the pushrodcan barely spin,tighten 1/2 turn,then lock them.. Thanks.. thats what i was asking.

thats it, just be sure that they are top dead center when doing this ok.

i seen some oldschoolers do it with the engine runing. they losen thenuy till you here the rokcer clattering then start tightning the nut till the rocker stops clattering then go a 1/4 morethen lock the nut.

explain that one too me, i dont see how in the hell when the engine is running the rockers are constantly moving up and down

there you go.all you got to do is listen to the rocker.also you will need those oil splash guard.

never seen it, but i guess anything is possible, i know everyone says they have never heard of putting transmission fluid in your oil if you have a lifter thats not priming but ive seen it work first hand.

i had a lifter not priming and a guy at the track said check your oil and i said its a quart low. he said put a quart of transmission fluid in it and 15 min. later that puppy was tip top again.
