I live in seattle and deal with stop and go traffic an insane hills which suck... alot... Still won't give up my T-5 for an auto. an auto might be faster on the 1/4 mile but to me manual is alot more fun

depends on how much power you have
, I dont want to miss a shift or be shifting anything with alot of power in the city.
With the auto , I can nail it and stop on a dime, traffic or obstacles or not, also helps when you lose control, both hands free

My Mustang 5.0 is a strip only car.
I prefer the C-4, how else are you going to be able to E.T. consistently enough to win rounds.
By consistent, I mean 6-7 runs within .002-.004 of each other.
Rather than to use the trans-brake, that is VERY hard ond on drivetrain parts, I use a 2-step rigged to the brake pedal. I can be there 'stuturing' at about 1800 RPM with the gas pedal matted and when I let go of the brake pedal, it's on a 6800 limiter.
Poor mans trans-brake......

Yep , Drag car equals auto , street car equals manual, if ya do both, i would shoot for auto , even though i have a t5, a modified auto tranny will bring you a smile!
