Default converting to mass air?

I just bought a 1987 Mustang gt w/t-tops and I want to convert it to mass air before I do any other mods on it. I have been doing a search and would like to know what is a good one to buy and where is a good place to buy it from. Thanks for any help and I am looking forward to modifing the car over the next year.

Heres what i did, i bought a mass air conversion harness(came in a ziplock bag)from Excessive Motorsports. about $60. went to autozone bought a computer for a 92 5.0. took my speed density computer in for a core (they look exactly the same) bought a mass air meter there. then i bought a cold air induction for a mass air car (one with the crome tubes). and it is as easy as that. worked great for me for 5 yrs. i have a x303 came with no problems at all. mine is an 88 gt

Since you have to buy a MAF/MAS anyway, spring for a 70mm MAF & MAS from a 94-95 Mustang. Either V8, or 6cyl as they are the same.

The MAF Transfer is nearly identical between these 2 meters.
This swap will work so long as you are still using the stock 19lb injectors.

good luck,
jason

So if you by the harness all you have to do is plug it in to the stock speed density harness. Change the computer to a mass air computer, and convert the air filter?

You dont have to repin the computer or anything like that, its all plug in play? I will switch to mass air and build the engine like I want if I can change to mass air withouth cutting any wires.... somebody please tell me this was so, I thought you had to hack into the wires and repin the computer?

That is what I am trying to find out is if there is a whole kit you can buy to convert over to mass air that is easy to install. I am planning on doing some mods and from what I understand I need to have mass air for anything to make a difference.
