I just bought a 306 sbf. the head bolts from the old block are bigger and dont fit the new one. is this common and how would i find the right size bolts. my second ? is when i put the push rods in there is about haf inch of space between the block and heads.

sound like you have 1/2" bolts... buy a set of ARP head studs.... 7/16"

*edit* I actually just confused myself... research that before you take it as law.... im out of it right now
