Don't have a Mustang yet, but am interested in a 1989-1993 Mustang GT convertible. How do I find out some of the specs to the car such as gas mileage, 0-60 times, 1/4 mile times?

This is probably what I would guess on all of those:

18/24 gas mileage
~6.0 seconds 0-60
14.5-15.5 quarters @90-95mph

check in the stickes in the forum. if i remember correctly there is a link that takes you to a site where you just type in the year and it tells you all about the mustang and its history.

also try auto.consumerguide.com its a good place to look at that kind of stuff for any car. it only has like a 90 to 93 mustang but it will be the same for the 89 too.

i get 28mpg with stock gears 5 speed,exhaust, and bumped timing. my car used to be an auto car i got 24mpg

its amazing..some 4 cylinder imports struggle to reach those numbers...my old chevy caprice got like 25mpg with a 350 auto and a 3 ton car....

just drive sensibly the v8 doesnt have to work as hard with the 2.73 i go 80 mph at 2000rpm and i keep up on the maintence i clean the maf meter every couple of months and having the timing bumped helps alot

how many degrees is your timing set up 2 ? also would it work as good on all the cars or is it thatevery car is different ?

no im a spirited driver, but i stay with the speed limit around town around 55mph. when i was driving back and forth from school id drive about 90-100 (there was nothing but trees) and id get a little less than 20mpg


as for timing i think i set it around 14? but im gonna bump it higher since i got the 3.55 since it will be less prone to detonation
