OK so I capped it and have not been running the bypass at all. No overheating problems but I am running a large aluminium radiator. Does anyone have apicture of the point it goes into the water pump?

There should be 2 nipples sticking out to the right side (if looking form the front of engin it would be the left) of the water pump. The bypass connects to the upper one.
