I ran open headers for 4 months before a full exhaust and law enforcement didnt mind.
Open headers cause rapid cooling of exhaust valves and over a long period of time they will warp.
Not an immediate effect and not common, but a risk you will have to take.
I did enjoy scaring so called tough teenagers , and terrorizing no turn signal and bannana moving vehicles .[8D]
Other than that, I kept my foot off the pedal, it gave me a headache.Im sure if you drive like this everyday, someone will file a noise complaint, but I only drove twice per week.
The effect is different on a motor with little power, sounds raspy, poorer performance so many reccomend not to do so. But hey, if you have 400+ hp it sounds good to me
and our area LOVES LOUD PIPES AND BIG RIMS
