Evan smith ran the stock GT to a 13.3, so i'll have to say the driver had to be pretty crappy if he all he went was 0.1 secs faster with an extra 120hp. Evan also ran the same car to a 12.25 after being fitted with full exhaust and a vortech (car put down 400rwhp IIRC). the 427R should be a solid mid 12s with the right driver.

The driver did suck, couldn't launch it...but said it was the car....I wanted to give it a try. He said that it was only supposed to run low 13's, rated from the factory.

Ok, think about it.
427 at the crank is probably about 350 or so at the wheels.
Car probably wieghs about 4000 with the driver as you saw it.
13.20's for E.T. is about right.........

stock GTs are good for 13.5's from what i've read. 120+ hp later and only running a 13.2 is crappy driving, imo

Got to remember here, if stocker GT ran 13.50's and the 427 was only .30 quicker it could be a combination of poor driving, poor chassis (suspension) and poor conditions.
If they were at Stanton, MI yesterday, I would say they were in a place to have a poor strip condition........

Track is closed for winter...it was back in October when I saw it, perfect track conditions that day.
