Default Aftermarket steering wheel

I was wonder how many of you guys have put aftermarket steering wheels in your stang. My cuz gave me a momo champion steering wheel as a gift. He got it from an ex but never put it on his 240sx before he blow the motor. Its a really nice wheel. I think it cost about $200.

i wouldnt want to put one on a daily driven car, mostly because they don't have airbags and im not willing to take that chance. but if i had a track only car i would definately put one on!

I thought about that. Its a daily driver, but is the stock wheels on stangs really suck.

yea especially on the 90-93 mustangs i hate them because its just one big chunk going through the wheel. but the ones on the new age and the 05-07 mustangs are pretty cool.

yea. I had a 90 hatch. those steering wheels are in every ford even close to that year. taurus, f-150, and probbaly more. I am going to do a little research on how effective airbags are. Think a roll cage would help? I want to put one in.

well an airbag keeps you from banging your head against the steering wheel and other things around you. a roll cage just makes your car stiffer, and when it rolls keeps the body from getting too messed up, thus calling it a "roll" cage. a roll cage isn't really recommended for a daily driver but it helps to have that extra safety feature. and you only need a roll cage if your car goes faster than an 11.5(correct me if im wrong) in the 1/4 mile.

I was thinking more as in if you have a roll cage you can use a four point seat belt, but thats alot of money. I did a little reading about the effectiness of airbags and theresmixed opinoins. I mean specifically for early airbags.

i think its 11.00 by nhra rules then you have to also have a gas stop, 12.00 or faster requires a helmet, i think its harness for 11.5 or faster.
