alright so the other day i was gettin down on my stang on some open road. opened it up through 4th. but now my tranny gets stuck in fourth. i press the clutch in all the way and i still have to work VERY VERY hard to get it out. i have to like work with it like like 10 seconds with full force juss jerking it tryna get it out of place. also it doesnt always go in gear right. it grinds sometimes too now. im thinkin the syncronizers but man tough luck.. anybody deal with this before??

will it do it under no load ? like when your completely off the gas pedal , and slowing down ?

i'd say your clutch is not disengaging all the way and thats the problem, pull up hard on it and it will adjust it, if it helps then starts doing it again soon, the plastic quadrant could have shredded teeth and you need a new one.

I had a similar problem, with mine I would have to roll the car a little to finally get it to pop out of fourth, it wouldn't pop out of fourth even with the car off. Before it got stuck I could tell it was grinding when going into fourth. Ultimately, when I pulled the tranny and opened it up on the 3-4 gear synchro the spring holding the inserts/doglegs in place had come off. If that's what it is it's not hard to replace, the worst part is pulling the tranny.

i dont think its the clutch. the clutch was new 2 years ago. it disengages fine but its juss that fourth gear. im thinkin the 4th gear but i was hopin maybe somethin else. i dont wanna have tah pujll the tranny..
