Default Something that I heard about adjustable FPRs???

So I was trolling around corral and from what I've read no matter what you do to an adjustable FPR on the fuel injected 5.0s, the ECU will adjust around it, if anyone else is a member of corral it's a guy named Kim that's saying most of this and he seems to know what he's talking about. For instance, you lower the fuel pressure and the computer just widens the pulse width to get the needed fuel in, you raise the fuel pressure and the computer shortens the pulse width, is this true? Is it really just pointless to have an adjustable fuel pressure regulator on our cars?

the computer will adjust itself accordingly, but if you are running lean when WOT, the car is running in a loop mode and it will not make any adjustments

I have my fuel pressure set so that I wun between 12.5 and 13:1 at WOT

I was under the assumption that for a bolt on modded motor an AFPR is almost a must once you start looking at like 300HP or so. And I wrong on this assessment, or is this really true. Everything I have heard is that it will help greatly.

Adaptive control also affects open loop operation.....and WOT....... check http://fordfuelinjection.com/files/H...trol_works.pdf for the summarized story......FP when set at any point, will make the EEC-IV trim the injectors pulse to reach A/F programmed (and updated) tables.......

I noticed a very significant power gain at 45, but turned it down to 42psi . A little rich on start, but ECM adjust's, and smoke clears fast, .Also my idle is alot better than before, im like idling somewhat smooth at 550 rpm with a trick flow 1, and when you tap, slam, im at 5600 very fast.

I was told no no on here , when I stated the ECM Trims down the injector's pulse to go around high fuel pressure, so I guess my power comes from not the pressure, but the powerful mist it makes in the chambers or something.

Ill ask the tuner if it compensates only a certain percentage etc and check my ratio from partial to WOT.
