no if u run the factory belt routing way and you deleted your smog, your putting that sharp turn on a small pulley and you will bust your belt, it happened to me, i re-routed my belt differently then factory way, and i have under-drive pulleys so if you have ud pulleys and want to route it a good way let me know and ill get you my size belt tom.

well you dont race your car either lol, ive had 2 belts bust on me because of that small pulley and sharp belt turn. so i re-routed mine.

i found the string trick didnt work quite right i still ended up off by one belt size, i did the same thing hes doing on my old 86 notch...i didnt have much adjustment compinsation on a bigger belt cus of the crappy tensioner

my belt is routed like that and the turn in mine is MUCH sharper than yours... I have never had one issue.... you should cheak your tensioner, its probably weak
