My cars motor is jsut flat out dirty as hell. YEARS of dust and road grim that has NEVER been cleaned. It is caked on. I think my issues are just due to never being cleaned up. I will need to spend a afternoon jsut cleaning the motor up and the vaious things like the intake and the like, which I have done but wouldn't hurt to do again. I do not see how folks can runa car and not clean it. My Caprice had 272k on the motor when I sold it. It was as clean as a new motor.

Just make sure the engine is completely cold when you "degrease" it.....pouring cold water on a warm engine could cause some sensors (TPS, EVP....) to crack inside due to thermal shock......just a tip.
