Code 94 / AIR THERMACTOR
My car keeps throwing this code along with Code 11 which has no description and Code 12 which reads: Could not hold RPM's during self-test
these are key on engine ready codes
with key on engine off code 11 pops up and thats it
i cleared them and they all come back. car is running pretty decent at the moment. still a few little things out of place.

RE: Code 94 / AIR THERMACTOR
Well, when I had that code (thermactor inoperative on left or right bank), I tested the whole thermactor system, part by part, but found nothing wrong. Then I pulled the metal tube that runs between the two heads, behind them, and found that it was clogged rendering the thermactor ports in my left head inoperable. I cleaned out the tube with a coat hanger and various other homemade items, and the code went away. It's not too hard to pull the tube; you may want to have a look at it, if everything else checks out ok.

RE: Code 94 / AIR THERMACTOR
ok code 12 is an idle speed code, probably caused by a dirty/sticking IAC or binding throttle plate/linkage. 94 is the air system, coming back Inoperative. numerous causes here. look for kinked lines, cracked vacuum lines. Diverter valve or thermactor pump inoperative would cause this. Also the Air management solenoids.

RE: Code 94 / AIR THERMACTOR
94 is a left side code for the thermactor.. it is also, but may not be currectly triggered by
Thermactor air system fault,
Transaxle switch solenoid fault,
Secondary air injection system inoperative (left side)

RE: Code 94 / AIR THERMACTOR
A code 94 will not trigger the CEL, if you have the Thermactor system still installed (AIR pump, valves, solenoids, etc), and no code 44 is showing up.....the most likely cause for the code is a clogged crossover tube tube to the LH cyl. head...same case Twisted had.....code 11 is a System Pass....worry when it doesn't show up... .....Code 12 KOER = system couldn't raise rpms to self-test range.....usually a bad IAC not opening to increase idle.......
