Me too. It might be big and heavy but those cars are pretty quick. Stock the Pontiac should run about 14 seconds and the Mustang runs around 14.5-15.5 stock.

No way the pontiac is a 14 second car...that's gotta be a 4,000-4,500 pound car. With a stock SBC with a 4 barrely he may have a bit of a power advantage but the extra 1,000-1,500 pounts will easily negate that.

dont under-estimate that car. thats like when i raced a lincoln mark 8. i seriously under-rated the car, of course i didnt know it had the 32 valve cobra motor in it either.

when i had 4 people in my taurus once, i raced a 305 TDITrans AM with full exhaust rebuiltand bored .20 over, he had 2 people in his car, both cars automatic. (my taurus is a 1994 SHO) we went from about 25 and i inched away with 4 people in my car. then again from 40 it was more even but at around 3rd i started to just walk again. From that moment on every old pontiac is just slow to me.

RE: Who'd Win
they run in the 14's which is pretty friggin cool for a stock 4000 lb vehicle with that small of a motor. I think its like a 14.8 14.9 sec car, but they pull real hard from a roll of 50^ so

LMAO. i drive a mark 8 as my daily driver and they are pretty bad *** cars. very quick but big.

RE: Who'd Win
someone posted a thread about a month ago bout puttin a 4.6 4cam in a fox, i told him that finding a wrecked mark 8 was the way to go. i think i may do it with an old stang that i have for a parts car at my house. i'm sure you can pull those motors out to them for real cheap.

see, thats where you gotta get real creative with your budget. fabricate stuff like your harness and things like that. you have to have a good understanding of everything before you do it. you pretty much need to be a tech which i am not, but my dad is. the hardest part i think would be getting your harness right. i'm 100% positive that i could pull it off with 2k or less.
