The underdrive pullies are bigger than stock and turn slower.

sorry man, i answered your question backwards. it's been a looong weekend.lol.. anyways.. if the pulley on your alt is smaller then the one that is not on your alt then the pulley that is on your alt is an underdrive alt pulley. replace it with the bigger one and you should be ok.

The stock alternator pulley is alot smaller than the underdrive pulley. I just switched back to the stock pulley on mine last week.
The underdrive pulley is the same size as the stock pulley on the 3G '94/'95 alternator.

Put the stock alt pulley back on it and it should help your volts. The stock fox alternator sucks...it's only 75A. Do the 3G conversion, it's very simple. Plus, you'll need it if you get a system or go to an electric fan....

ok whether or not this smaller alt pulley i have that is not on the car is stock, im going to put it on and see how to works out. i will be upgrading my alt to a 200 amp unit from PA performance down the road, because i just got a 2400 watt amp to power my 2 18's oh and i already have an electric fan.. but it doesnt really seem to pull to much current.so im actually going to go put this smaller pulley on right now, ill let you know how it goes here in a few minuets. Thanks!
