End of an era?

RE: End of an era?
None of this really surprises me. To the average driver, seeing a Fox-body in the rear view mirror isn't too different from seeing a Taurus or Tempo of the same era. They all used a pretty similar headlight design that was boxy and unimaginative. The 94+ ones at least have a profile that is unique from other Fords.
Its perfectly functional, its just kinda ugly.
But support for the main driveline components will never go away, so the performance side will always be there.

RE: End of an era?
+1 To not seeing nice Foxes on the street. Actually, there are only a few people in my area with 5.0's. One is an exact replica of my car ([:@]), ablue GT vert and a crazy *** spraypainted lx (ugly as hell but its sportin a 331 w/ a p1sc, etc. the works).

RE: End of an era?
in my area they are already getting rare...and costly. in a big city liek new haven i only see like the same 2 lx's driving around, and like one crappy *** gt[:'(]. but my car always draws a crowd on summer nights. and i imagine it will contiue to become more popular as gas mileage becomes everyones main concern.

I don't think any Stang will become un-popular for anyone to loose interest, look at the 74-78, people laughed at them, now they are starting to look at them. I wouldn't mind finding a nice Cobra II myself. The thing is ......try and find one !!!!!! All Mustangs will live forever.

RE: End of an era?
I will agree the mid 70'sStang is beginning to pick up some collector steam. Still a long ways off from big bucksbut all the same. I think if you can get a 87-93 Stang that has not been wacked up with mods but in orig shape you should KEEP IT!

RE: End of an era?
Fox body cobra and cobra r already fetch a big price. I think in 10-15 years we'll be watching the barret-jackson auctions on out plasma tvs (because regular tvs will be phased out)and CLEAN fox bodys and fox cobras going for six figures.
