a buddy of mine just got a 06 evo 9 for x mas.....rich bastard....i got an 87 5.0 with flowmasters and a hurst shifter....i kno hes gunna beat me but i wanna kno by how much

Im pretty sure they have like 285hp and like 290ft/lbs...... you will get dumped on... especially if he can drive/launch it.

aren't evo 9's AWD??? any moron can launch one of those especialy with good tires, a buddy had an evo (7 or 8 i think not sure tho) with proxie 4's and can dump it from 6 and chirp the tires launching AWD is a no brainer

^^ I Know, Evo's and STI's are pretty big in my area. He is going to put alot of lengths on you right from the beginning and then he will just pull and pull and pull.

they're not as easy to launch as people make them out to be, they tend to bog if you don't to it right, you can't just "redline and dump it" ...they weight about the same, same kind of tq. but much better in the hp department... i think they run mid 13s, you should be mid 14s as is... so yeah, ouch. better start modding.
