I have a 1990 LX with a replaced block with gt-40 alum heads, gt-40 intake, cold air induction, throttle body, mass air sensor and some little other things. AT low rpms the car has a horrendous buck and sometimes it sputters off the line. could this problem be caused by a cold air intake with a non cold air mass airflow sensor. any ideas would be great.

Is the maf calibrated to your injectors? I dont think the cold air has anything to do with it. cold air mas airflow sensor?

it has a tremec 5 speed and the mass air is claibrated to the 24 lb injectors. as far as it being the clutch i dont think so because sometimes when i go to accellerate it bogs real bad until it hits a certain rpm then it just comes to live like i flipped a switch. does calibrating a air flow sensor for cold air really matter? or is it something else?

ah ha! you need a new gas tank. i had the same problem, now that you descibe it again. the baffle breaks loose and no longer holds gas around the pump, when you hit the gas or corner hard the car falls on its face, until gas returns to the pump.
