Default a few ?'s on rim and tire size 4 fox's

Ok, I wanna get a set of '93 cobra rims for my car but I've only found them in a 17" diameter and was wondering if they would fit on my car with out any modification and what size tire I could fit on them. Also I plan on lowering the car about an inch, will that affect what size tire and rim I can get? And finally, would I have to change the speedometer gearor anything else to accomodatethe increased rim size? Thanks in advance for any info

1- no you can still run those 17's

2 - if your planning on running a 2??/40/17 then no your speedo is
fine the way it is

I have 17x9 cobra rims with 245/45/r17's all the way around (currently have minor rubbing in hard corners), once i drop 1.25" I have to get 235/40/r17 up front and 255/40/r17 in rear to avoid any rubbing. 17x8's up front are more desireable, reduce the risk of any rub. [8D]

I guess so, it's not that bad in the rear, just the front on a 9" wheel, 8" would be ideal thenwe could run 255's in front, but with the 9" wheel its a pita. 275's out back will work on my car, just not interested in that big.

with '93 cobra wheels, yes, you may have a lil rubbing in the front in hard turns.
