Iam a big 5.0 fan and own a 91' LX with a vortech supercharger , it dynoed at 372 horsepower...but there are a few people wantin to race me at the track... and they have stock 98' GT's. Is a stock 98' GT faster than the 5.0 stock? I know i wouldnt have a problem with them now running mid to high 12's. But if i was to race them stock who would most likely win?

u would walk over them even stock for stock, they run a high 14 low 15 u would run a mid to low 14 sec quarter mile so it would be u by like 3 lengths

Your 91 is faster than a 94-98 GT stock for stock. The 96-98's make less hp and are heavier, the 94-95 make the same hp but are a little heavier. 99+ will beat you.

Actually, the 2v NPI engine is supposed to make 225hp, but I am not sure how accurate that is. You have a few hundred pounds in your favor. Don't get cocky though. Some 5.0s in this town that should be running mid 14s run high 15s at the track. Maybe it's just in my town that nobody can launch. A good 60' time here at the track is like 2.2 lol, so it is pretty bad...I guess FWD for the loss, and ****ty drivers..
