Default Traction-Lock rebuild..

ya i got the one wheel blues...

i found this kit http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...1&comp=LRSis this all i need to put power down with both wheels?

i have a 87' GT with an 8.8 and stock 3.08 gears.

oh and can i rebuild my T-lock in my driveway?? and special tools i need? are there any write ups?

i did it, your waisting your time if both wheel are already leaving burnmarks together, those clutches dont wea r out like we think as I found out[:'(]

You can do it in your driveway, just make sure you don't get the shims messed up and you line the ring and pinion up the way they came out. Only special tool you need is a "good" torque wrench to torque the caps back down with.

Jeg's has the same kit a little cheaper. I just bought it for mine and hopefully its in now (getting it installed).

Im also curious on a write up. I ordered my rebuild kit not too long ago and I just need to find time to tear it all down and do it.

what 99% of the people don't know is you can "tighten" up the posi more my adding 1 or 2 of the best of clutches you take out of the old rear,just DO NOT put them together
