Default clutch theory

i was thinking the other day, about hydaulic clutches. it struck me as odd that something built in the late 80's would have a cable operated clutch. i'm wondering if a hydraulic conversion would be feasable? any ups or downs ?

i've driven a few VW'sand audi's with hydraulic clutches, they were all about 250-330 hp and had hipo clutches, in my opinion ina car with a really grippy clutch it iseasier with acable clutch

I wonder the same thing too.... Benefits to both, unless there's a cheap bolt-on kit it really wouldn't be worth the effort. I have a KC and I heard there stiff, but mine is nuts. Next project.[>:] ...wish I had a hydro right now....

cable clutches are MUCH better in Hi-Po applications.... hydraulic clutches are for babies that cant step down a real muscle car clutch...

I hopped in a 6 speed altima today and almost put my left foot through the floor.... its so much easier to control a cable clutch vs a hydraulic

cable is manlier, but it would be a good idea because a lighter clutch=easier to shift=faster shifting! be our guinea pig and try it out!
