Your dad must be a hell of a welder...I'd be petrified to drive a car after the roof was cut off and welded back on...

Unf#!king believeable. Your father does really good work. Stuff like this is an art, I can't even comprehend all the little roadblocks and finishing touches required to turn that scrappy pile of junk into such a well put together, one-off rig. It's tough enough restoring a car back to stock trim, let alone something like this. You are lucky to have such resorces, good for you man! NEVER get rid of that car. Wayyyy crappy bummer thing to say, but when your father passes that car will literally be him encarnate. No better way to imortalize yourself than to build something like that.
