Default 351w rev to 6500?

I’m buying a 351w and an intake manifold with an operating range from 1500 to 6500… I want to take advantage of the full operating range and rev it to 6500. What pushrods/valve springs would i need to do this? Links woudl be nice

thanks as always.

Look at AFM's stuff (anderson ford motorsport). They should have everything you need from valvetrain to cam.....

You will need to match the cam, heads, intake, springs, rockers to the powerband you desire.

Companies like TrickFlow and Edelbrock offer kits that consist of proven combinations, at least for a 302 anyway.

As far as exactly what parts you need...
I won't be able to help much.

A good way to get some ideas is to look through old magazine articles, with similar builds to yours. Comparing dyno results is a good way to make some decisions.

sorry to hijack but would a 351w have a decent advantage over a 302? I know where I can get a running 351 for free.

Go for it man hell yes. 351's have more cubes, can hold more power, be bored larger, have lots of aftermarket parts, and are much stronger than the 302.

weight and space are the only disadvantages

sounds good, I'll see if I can get ahold of it. It'll be out of a 1990 e350 van or whatever it is. If I were to someday swap em, can the electronics for the 302 work?

But a 351 with aluminum heads will weigh about as much as a stock 302. Can't argue with that! I'd take a free running 351 in a second. Your sig pic is sweet, by the way
