Default Just ordered some more stuff for the stang!

I can't wait till it comes in! Probably be mid-late next week but the wait will be worth it. I ordered:

Baumann ReCal kit ford theAOD:
This easy to install kit is the most advanced, flexible, and reliable valve body recalibration system in the industry. Full user programmability of shift firmness and behavior, along with adjustable full-throttle shift points (up to 1100 RPM greater than stock) and full-throttle overdrive capability allow the transmission to be custom-fitted to any application. Superior shift improvement is accompanied by a substantial increase in durability and performance (due, in part, to our intelligent pressure control system).

Sonnex Booster valve kit for AOD:
This high quality valve and sleeve, manufactured by Sonnax, cures many line pressure related problems in the AOD transmission. Sticking or worn boost valves are a leading cause of failures and shift complaints with the AOD transmission. Over time, the steel valve will wear into the aluminum sleeve, causing the valve to stick and leak. Since the boost valve is responsible for increasing line pressure to match engine torque, it is obvious that the condition and calibration of this valve are even more critical in performance applications. This "better than new" replacement sleeve is manufactured from wear-resistant Deltalloy 4032 and is sealed to the bore with O-rings, unlike the original equipment sleeve. We recommend replacement of this valve during the installation of our valve body kit, or especially in a high mileage transmission or during an overhaul where contaminants will have accelerated the wear of the original valve even further.

and a tranny filter. I can't wait!

Nice, is that an entire valve body or a rebuild/recalibration kit? Where'd you buy and how much?[8D]

go over to corral . net and go to the forums and type in a search for Baumann, it'll pull up hundreds of pages on these recalibration/shift kits and info on the booster valves. It's a shift kit, but you have full adjustability between all of the shifts, shift points, shift firmness, etc.

Everyone with an AOD check out this website
http://www.becontrols.com/

I got the shift kit/recalibration kit, sonnex boost valve and tranny filter for $108. Even though the boost valve and tranny filter aren't necessary, I decided to get them anyways.

It's an automatic, but this is a street/strip car during the summer so I wanted to retain the fully automatic features. When I floor it it's going to shift where I want it to in any gear and I'll be able to scratch the tires during my shifts.

Ohh Ok I see. Just wondering because Lentech, PA, etc. make "Street/Strip" valve bodies where you can manually hold each shift OR you can put it in drive and go and it will still automatically shift for you.

Those valve bodies require you to do the 1-d-1 shuffle to hold 2nd, they're basically a pre-installed shift kit that they're going to try and charge you more for. Unless you get a full manual VB with the elec. OD delete, you're not going to get manual shifting.
