Hey everyone. I basically have about $900 for parts for my car and I can't figure out what to do next. It's a christmas present so I can't put it aside and wait for my Kenne Bell.

This car is my DD, so I don't think I'll have time to do any major operation like installing heads or a cam, but can anyone recommend a good power mod I can do for around $900.

(gears+ install costs around $900 in Los Angeles, and takes a long time so I was thinking maybe that's out of the question).

My current mods are in my sig btw. I have a pro-chamber waiting for install in my closet, along with a MM panhard bar.

Well, then I'm gonna have to support my torque boxes right?

Maybe I should just buy a welder with the money.

it's a pain to weld those torque boxes. i wouldnt do it unless you take the rear out. i tried to do mine and just couldn't get in there. so i ordered the bolt in ones.

Yeah, I believe it- the problem is that bolt-in ones are just doing a BS job- they don't really do anything. I have the bolt-in subframes from Competition Engineering- while I did feel a difference, there is just no comparison to a properly reinforced chassis. Maybe I should just drop the rear-end... AGAIN. ugh.

What are the stock torque boxes good till? About how much HP & Torque? I have 3-piece spherical bushings on the upper and lower control arms (new rubber ford bushings on the axle-side UCA.

they are known to blow at the stock hp rating. notoriously weak...

should have had them done when the uppers got put in.. a must

alright, I just did the whole suspension a couple months ago... plus it's a CA car- clean of rust. I guess I'll do the torque boxes anyway.
