HEELP no one knows whats the deal
I have a 89 5.0 coupe that was a 4cyl conversion to a 302 crate. i just bought the car about a month ago and its starting to act. i can dump the clutch in first and everything seems fine and as soon as i hit second the excitement is dead my rpms fall below 1000 and i can have my foot to the floor and it still barley reacts until it passes 2500 and then the power kicks back in......also maybe or maybe not related....
Most of the time when my car is under a half tank of gas i can take a turn in just about any gear mainly 1st and 2nd and it boggs down so badly that it back fires almostas if its not getting any fuel and just like the first problem it will slowly reach over 2500 and the car acts fine
please someone help i have no clue what the problem is and everyone i talk to brings up a new part no one talks about the same thing.........
i cant have a mustang and it not perform correctly right?

RE: HEELP no one knows whats the deal
check ur spark, check fuel pressure i would change the fuel filteran start there if u think its fuel related if not change the pump its easy process of elimination

This is one of those problems where you can justify a fuel pressure gauge and battery gauge for that matter, initially I was thinking fuel related, start w/ filter .Good Luck.

It may be a possible broken baffle in the tank, starving the motor of fuel.
