Default GRRRRR Help with headers!!

Good news is I got my long tube headers yesterday from summit. bad news is the passenger side!!! i searched the old posts and i did everything other people did but they still wont slide in..
i removed the starter motor, put a jack under the tranny and jacked it up a little, grinded down the bellhousing a little, beat the floorpans in with a mallet and put grease on all the metal surfaces to make things smooth, THEY STILL WONT GO IN!! ahhhh.....

Yeah thats the problem with long tube headers!!!!

My guess is that you need to pry the engine over a little.

[sm=smiley29.gif] ive been going crazy the past hour just trying to slide them in, let alone actually moving material out of the way. been working on these things since last night, im tired!!

i think the only solution now would be to remove the passenger side engine mount and pry the engine over, if this does not work my only solution will be to remove the bellhousing which is impossible for me to do with my tools lol.... these headers better pay off.

Good grief man. Beating the floor pan in? [&:] Why don't you just unbolt the motor mounts and lift the engine a little? Seems to be a reasonable fix for any header installation.

I helped my buddy put some long tubes on his cammaro and I hate to say it but sometimes you have to bang on them with a hammer a little bit
