i can get a 4spd or 3spd or 5spd standards which should i go with which will give me best performance

The T-5 is weak...........

If you have a 4 speed Borg Warner I would go with that.

It also depends on the rear end?.......

The old top-loader 4 speed is what the TKO transmissions are designed after... they are MUY BUENO... but i'd never rock one... I like my current ratios
