youve gotta get the ECM scanned and checked for stored air bag codes... your car has probably been wrecked before

well also my uncle has a explorer sport 99 and his airbag light blinks but never been in an accident?

Not sure someone smarter then me would have to confirm but it could be a fuse.

mine does the same thing, one of my previous GTs did it too... as far as i know neither of them were deployed. i think it's a common problem, just a glitch.

You would have to check the SRS system for failures, check how to do it at http://www.veryuseful.com/mustang/te.../airBag92.html . A typical failure is the clockspring assy.(sliding contact assy.) in the steering column......or the diagnostic monitor board......these failures could show up w/out a deployment of the system.

I have the same problem when I start the car up it'll stay there for like 5 seconds then go off...only I def know that I was in an accident....4 days after I had the damn car some dumb@ss rear ended me at 50mph. Their car was totalled, but mine needed a new bumper and quarter panel, that'll teach em to hitta fox body!
