There one guy that got into the twelves on a completely stock motor. Gears, auto trans with shift kit and stall or a t-5 with good driver, slicks and a bunch of suspension and you can hit twleves. Some weight reduction wouldnt hurt either.

well the 86 gt isnt that heavy but

also would the explorer motor from a junkyard have forged internals like the stang motor or not,
cause i want an x cam and 1.6 roller rockers than port out hte heads and a gt40 intake

and i have a little suspension work done sway bar and shocks in the rear, but i need subframes, and what else

You don't need the cam if you do the suspension right, including sticky tires and 4.10's.

well then for the most part i want the cam for the sound and some performance,

also what suspension mods shouldi do in order to do this
