Default No cluster lights

I just took my car out for a ride and when I stomped on the gas hard the instrument cluster lights went out.
When I got home I checked the fuses and found that the cluster fuse was blown. I replaced it and it blew again and then once more. Now it doesnt do anything- no more blown fuses and still no lights. A test light on the fuse doesnt light up.
What happened now and how do I try to fix this? I swear its one thing after another with this car lately.

yeah, this just happened to me. i took apart my dash and found my dimmer switch coil was glowing red hot, so i'm awaiting that part now. to find it, i took the dash all the way apart, then put in a 25amp fuse, and looked for smoke. its the only fuse that wouldnt blow in my car. the illumination is only a 5amp, but those blow after about a minute. now i have a problem because my turn signals wont work. so i guess i gotta do that now.

I just realized my parking lights dont work either. I didnt notice that earlier.
Mine wont blow any more fuses, not even another 5 amp one. It blewtwo 5 amps and a 10 amp but now wont blow anything else.

your headlight switch may be bad, or theresa short somewhere. throw in a 25amp, turn the lights on, and look for smoke or glowing. if your switch blew and just doesnt work, then it could kill the circuit, thus not blowing fuses anymore.

prolly have a short somewhere, that or a wire was frayed and now is broke completly(bestter option) check the wire that goes to the fuse, the one that doesn't goto the clutcher/switch , and see if you can find where if looses power at

I just looked around and found another blown fuse. Slot #4- a 15 amp. The one that had previously blown was slot #13- a 5 amp.
I replaced the fuse and played with the dimmer switch and now have parking lights and dash lights. The dimmer only works when its just before turning on the dome light though.
