Tranny swap?
I'm on the market for purching a new Fox. I have called on a few that are Auto's. They seem cheeper and I got a stong t-5 in my 89. Does the motor need to be pulled to swap the trannies? How bit of a job is this? No way in hell am i gunna cruise in an auto.

RE: Tranny swap?
my sister helps be do my tranny (she likes to learn) so i'm sure you can manage to do it... the tranny weighs 75 lbs. w/o fluid.... i highly suggest draining it because it'll leak out of the tail shaft when u remove the drive shaft..... all you do is remove the h/x pipe, drain the tranny then remove the driveshaft, put a floor jack under the tranny (if you have one) then take the tranny cross member off... then unbolt the tranny from the bell housing and then slide it back and pull it out..... if you don't have a floor jack then undo the tranny bell housing bolts first then the cross member

never did the swap from auto to manual, so i don't knw how hard that it but i'm sure all you haveto do is get the pedle assy. out of a 5 speed car and it should bolt right in then just rought the cultch cable and you should be golden....
o yea the flexplate will have to be swaped out for a flywheel but thats common knowledge
