I want to basically rebuild my junker car...I want to start with thE engine and suspension first. Bodywork, tires, etc will be later.

Do you think it is worth it for this car? Suggestions??...As you can probably tell, I got the care for next to nothing...well actualy it was nothing...just had to pay to tow it home ($60)...dead fuel pump.

if i were you, i would start with getting new doors, quarter panels, etc. since you have all that rust first, then get it painted. because you gotta have a nice looking car as well as a fast one right? but if you must do performance first, get rid of that 4 banger and go to a junkyard and find a early 90's f150 with a 351w and drop that in there and get new intakes, heads, etc.

+1, for the cost of putting a 302 in it you can do the 351, there's info all over about it. I'd just make sure that all of the rust is fixable, they don't call it cancer for nothing. Good luck!

strip the engine compartment first, sand and fill the holes then pant flat black, that way it'll match no matter what color u paint the car later.

u gotta start with teh body like everyone else said get the rust fixed and make it look good, then get rid of the 4 banger, then u should look for a 351 w or c, a cleveland would be totally worht the extra 500- 600 bucks they run circles around windsors and although the aftermarket is still thin tu can find parts and u will have a nasty motor, now a windsor u can make a nasty motor but for a little more, then u work on suspension, subframes, shocks, better rear end, transmission to mate up to the motor and that will hold the power, then interior, and wheels

keep the rims and put 7.5 street slicks and go "sleeper". u will have to put an 8.8 rear end in it,they also sell a k- member to put a small block chevy and a th350 in a fox body that would be SWEET
