Hi Everyone, I'm really annoyed with this part on my rear suspension. I've got an 88 LX Hatch and i've been trying to order some parts to renew and beef up the suspension, but everywhere i look there's no mention of this part on my car. Its mounted behind the brake drum on the axle and connects to the frame in the top right corner of the wheel well. It's some sort of shock absorber but i don't know what the part is called, i'll put up a picture so you guys can see.

thats what is called a quad shock.

i pulled mine off ,couldnt tell a difference. u need to invest in some rustoleum paint.

that type of rust makes me not miss New York at all. down here in the south you can own a car for 20 years and still take suspension stuff apart.

my car is a New England car and it has rust.. but not like that. the gas tank and upper hatch are rusted. the entire subframe is so clean you could eat off it. previous owner did a good job but really didnt put much time or effort into the hatch rust.
