RE: which trans to get?
i weighed the pros and cons between the 2 and everything kinda came out even. but i figured that if i went with the manual i wouldnt look back and say "damn i shoulda stayed with an auto (or at least im less likely to) but if i stay with the auto i kno that im gonna be tellin myself that

i agree. an auto will dominate all day. and i do have the opportunity to buy a Stage III art carr (xtra clutches and all that good stuff) w/rev manual valve body and a 2800 stall for only 1500. a buddy of mine had it on his car for maybe 100 miles and then when he went to dyno the car it blew the motor and now he's selling his old setup. it was a cartech single turbo set up. pretty nice i guess

o yea the only problem with that trans was that its an aode. i have a '92 that originally came with an aod. what do i all have to change if i actually wanted to go with that trans other than the the comp? or am i just way off?

If I were in your shoes I would just go with a built Lentech...... alot cheaper than a T-56 swap and ALOT less work! There is a company... I think its ampperformance or something like that who sells conversion kits for everything. I know they have an add in MM&FF.

4R70W with full manual valebody. the swap takes a tranny, converter, manual valvebody, and aod tailshaft for the speedometer. then od will be on toggle switch and lock-up will be on toggle switch also.
i love busting 5-speeds with my aod car.
