i gotta 88gt, i bought a tf street heat intake, and was wondering if a 1 inch spacer would fit under a stock hood, or if the 3/8's would? i'd prefer 1 inch.... but not sure if any will fit, what do you guys think? thanks alot

one way to test is to stick something that is 1" tall on the highest point of your intake and see if you can close the hood. if not, try a 3/8th. i have an aftermarket intake manifold and the heat sheild sits on the top of the manifold.

The 1 inch spacer wont fit under your hood. I went with the same setup on my car.. and had to get a cowl induction hood.

USE CLAY! If you use somthing hard you run the chance of denting your hood from the under side of it. Just get some clay and mold it to whatever size you need to check with.

you mean to tell me no one has tried fitting a trick flow street heat intake under a stock 88gt hood with any size spacer? i guess i'll go without a spacer, and get a cowl hood later down the road, and get the fattest spacer availible... what is the thickest you could or should go? any ideas? thanks

Someone should steal your car.... If performance isn't worht 10 minutes to the local store and $1 worth of clay, then drive a f***ing Geo Metro.
