Default Is it worth waiting for a 92 and down with forged pistons?

I am interested in a all black 93 lx 5.0 with 91,000 on it. One of my primary concerns is 93 and up 5.0's came with hypertonic (however spelled)pistons. To my knowledge forged pistons in a 5.0 make a more durable motor thus a motor that will handle a superchager better. Anything else siginificient about forged pistons or is this 93 worth buying. I plan to supercharge my next stang someday.

i wouldn't worry about it, there's not that big a difference between hyper and forged.

If it's a nice car at a good price, buy it. The piston difference isn't worth passing on a good car.

I have a 93 LX, stock engine with 230,XXX HARD DRIVEN miles on it. DR's it will still run low 13's consistently. 6 T5's have been in the tunnel though. Now I know how to shift alot better Im working on a new engine.

Buy IT!!
