sounds like a clutch problem could be syncros upgrade your clutch if that doesnt help get a new trans

i say adjust the clutch and if it doesn't help then rebuild it (cheaper than a new one)

sounds more like a clutch problem

let us know how it is! i am currently researching a new tranny or fixin the old one im not sure yet. mine is the original t5 but its starting to shudder a lot from a dead stop and its getting harder and harder to get it into any gear
+1. The shudder is definitely a clutch problem. And since it's hard to get into ANY gear, that probably is too.

By the way, congrats on your new tranny, Hack. I'd be real excited if I were in your shoes. If I may ask, how much did it set you back?

more than a rebuild ... i think the tranny was 735-835 depending on the option he got... don't quote me on that tho...

. That still sounds reasonable though.

yea it's still reasonable, better than 1200 from a shop to rebuild it... but i prefer the 94gtcoupe specialit's a win win... i make money and the other guy saves money

Yeah, if (when) I ever have to rebuild mine, I'll talk to you first...even though I'm all the way in California. By the way, how many trannies have you rebuilt to date?
