ORIGINAL: BOOK EM DANO

+1 on the a mine is loud too but air doesnt leak while driving.
Quick fix no cost remedy for your conv. top problems.

Saltydogg, keep it under 30 mph
Easter9053, keep it under 40 mph
LOL
keep it under 30! Are you kidding? I didn't buy a 5.0 so my lead foot could rest on the floorboard.

Anyway, the weatherstrip kit is $160. I just don't want to replace it if I'm still going to have a draft.

My convt was really loud and when I went to have the top replaced they told me my top frame was bent. They straightened it out and put the new top on and it did get quieter.

Mine is starting to get noisy again but I need all new weatherstripping. My passanger side doesn't even have any left on it. lol. Time to put more money into the 5.0

I just noticed that I have a very small gap between the window and the trim strip on the quarter window. If I stand next to the car with the door shut I can see between the window and the seal. It's probably only as wide as a few sheets of paper but it still shouldn't be there. It's an even gap all the way up the window and the door is straight with the body when shut.

Does the quarter window need adjustment or does the quarter window vertical seal need to be replaced?

Make sure your top is closing correctly. Maybe adjust the hooks in a little to make is close tighter. I did that on mine and the DRAFT from the header went away.

My quarter windows are are same way, but my doors need new hinges I think, they dont close completely at the top of the door, so that allows the windows to not seal as they should. Replace the weatherstripping all around and that will help, you should not have any air coming over the windshield.

General tech doesn't answer as quickly as the 5.0 forum.

Mine has a draft at 80MPH and above, so I haven;t bothered either. Need to, but I can manage. That is the problem you are having. I have had thre tops on the car, and it is original weather stripping.
