when you get a few hundred thousand miles on it you can add real gear oil to quieten(sp) it up a bit before you sell it...

You can pour it in from the shifter hole. Thats probably the easiest thing to do. Just have someone watch the fill hole to tell you when to stop filling.

My 2nd gear syncro is horrible, and i have to baby it into gear. But i noticed that when the trans is cold, it shifts easier. Does this mean filling the trans with heavier fluid will make it shift better? If so what is a good heavy fluid?

DON'T use anything other than ATF in a WC t-5 it ****s things up bad... if you are selling the car andthe tranny is bad use 80W90 to make it quite but don't drive your car with it and ecpect the tranny to last... synthetic oil is more slick (bad wording but the only thing i can thing of) so it lets things slide in easier...

i suggest changing the fluid every 75000-100000 miles i personaly change mine every 9000-12000, the more you change the fluid the cleaner it'll be which will le tthe tranny live longer... and yes the shifter is the easiest way to fill the tranny, how ever don't drive it right after let it sit for 30 min. - an hour to let the fluid settle in the main case rather than the tail shaft...

and that lucus stuff is useless on a T-5 since there is only one seal and a few o rings and no gaskets but on a tranny with gaskets and seal or an auto that stuff works wonders depending on how bad the tranny is
