Mine was doing the exact same thing. Pull the defroster switch out. I bet one of the wires on the bottom, I think it is blue, has pulled out of the connector. Push it back in. I also used some silicone to keep in from backing out. Problem fixed.

wait a minute.. if the defroster light comes on when i push it in doesnt that mean its getting power and that it is working like it should? i got a test light and so if anyone knows what i should do please tell me.
