Default baffles necessary?

is it necessary to run the baffles under the stock valve covers? I am pretty sure my rockers will hit thestock valve coversif i keep the baffles there.

No you dont have to have them. I had to take mine out of several stock valve covers when I put in larger cams.

PS: Make sure your breather/oil fill capgasket is new though.

usually unless its roller rockers no,ya dont have to have them.but i recommend them if ya have a hihj pressure, volume oil pump,or if ya dont have baffles ,certain valve breathers will soak in oil when motor is run,,oil splashes up on filter..thats what the baffles are for to prevent oil splash up yo filters..roller rockers usually need tall covers...stock usually dont

The risk you take when removing the baffles is that you will most likely see an increase in oil getting into the TB / Intake.

I have a hard time believing that all of these guys had no issues. Most likely they aren't aware of it.

You can pull the baffles, and replace them with some that will clear the bigger gear. Or you can get taller aftermarket covers.

Either way I don't recommend trying to run with out the baffles.
Too many Mustang owners have oil control problems with the PCV system already, messing with the baffles is just asking for trouble.
