Default Mass Air & Computer Help

i got a 95 gt and im gonna be doing some upgrades on it.
306 bore
trick flow street heat package
70mm throttle body
24# injectors
intake
and some other stuff when i get the money.
here is my issue...i was told that the computer would need to be tuned so the car would exactly right...how accurate is this? Could i just get away with getting a mass air sensor and it would be alright? or should i get the mass air sensor and a type of chip or a tuner that i can change with my computer? i might make changes here and there and really dont want to have to send in the chip to get reprogrammed every time i make modifications.

if you dont change your mass air sensor for the 24# injectors, it wont run too well at all. your gonna wanna get it tuned anyway. don't get a chip, get yourself a Tweecer or a megasquirt setup and tune it yourself.

would a 70mm work better than a 75mm throttle body with this setup?

in my opinion 70 is max you should go before forced induction. if you are planning on a turbo, S/C, or nitrous, go with 75. otherwise 70 is good.

but what was weird under the kit/combo contents the mass air was 75mm...but its for 24# injectors which is what ill be getting. also will i need another fuel pump for the 24#ers?

those are the parts you will need if you wanna go with that kit, nice find. as far as the fuel pump goes, it never hurts to pump too much fuel, thats what the return line is for. never know what you might add later on, so might as well be prepared as far as your fuel pump goes. with that combo you'd need a minimum of a 155lph, but i would probably get a 190 if I was you. i just put one in my car.

As far as I can tell the jury is still out on the Summit Brand MAF meters.
If it were me, and I wasn't going to tune the car, then I would go with a PMAS MAF meter.
They have a reputation as being the best aftermarket unit.

If you are going to get a tuner like the tweecer/pms/MS, then the 80 or 90mm Lightning MAF meters are the best option. A custom tune is required to run these meters, but they are known as the most accurate meters available. Also, the 90mm LMAF can be found for $75.

I'm not sure if you will needa tune though as I am not familiar with the sn95's.

Pros who are tune my computer, say its best to use ford maf's and other electronics if ya can. Like the lightning 90mm one. But i wouldnt even get that with your setup. 70 to 75 mm really is not that big so i would just stick with a 70 and stick with the stock maf and retune it cuz its 70mm. Long as the maf isnt smaller then the tb you wont be losing much if any. 70mm for both is plenty, because i got a kb and got the stock maf and 70mm tb, while the cam is stock and so are the heads.I dont see your engine if not supercharged would need anything much bigger then what i am running.
