I have a buddy that just bought a 351w for his 82' GT. It has a 4 speed manual tranny, and is wanting to know ifthe engine will bolt up to the bellhousing?

Great response! It sounds like it takes a lot of knowledge to go with a 351 in a fox, my buddy has a 88 bronco with a FI 351 in it and wants to sell it complete for 500 bucks. It has 110k on it andit doesnot smoke and runs strong. I guess I'll stay with a 302 so if anyone is interested in this 351 send me an e-mail at keith.cronin@lackland.af.mil I'm not trying to put in a plug for this engine, it's just available and I'm going to stay with the 302.....det45
no special knowledge needed for swap.
goes about as easy as swapping in another 302, ......... as long as you have the right swap parts.

If the 4 spd bellhousing was bolted to a 302 block, then it will bolt to a 351w block.
I can't address any issues your friendmay have with the flywheel though...

VRIstang, I'm also in the process of the 351 swap. I was wondering if I could use the distributor out of my Carbed 302. I was hoping to be able to, only becasue its an MSD Billet. Though, i'm aware that the pump drive shaft is a different diameter.
