Default KING COBRA CLUTCH

guys I recently installed a king cobra clutch kit and I thought it was going to be light on the pedal but its too stiff. It was advertised as 10% less pedal effort i dont get it... any sugestions or maybe if I get an adjustable cable it will help...
I have the stock cable and it seemed like it was loose so put washers to tighten it up... what can I do change my pressure plate??? any ideas ? thx.....

Love ma stang!!!

Just drive it with the stiff clutch, you will get used to it in a day. I went from driving a car where the weight of your leg would push down the pedal to my stang whereI slide in the seat to push it down. But honestly, I got used to itafter the first day and it actually makes it much smoother to drive.

someone needs to ask the maker of these clutches this question, maybe they mean its 10% more pedal effort. Its going to be funny when you left leg gets huge. But honestly i think you will get used to it in a few weeks

Its a mustang, they have stiff clutches, but i see where you comin from with it sayin it'll be less pressure and its the same if not more pressure. The fist time i drove my car when i was test driving it, it freaked me out czu i was used to driving a hydrualic clutch. And i bet an adjustable cable would help alot.

Mines nasty too man. I still don't know if I have an aftermarket quadrant and/or and adjuster. I am pretty sure I do, but it's so stiff I had to scoot the seat up or else I just push myself back. I can't drive mine in bad traffic either. The 10% less pedal effort I believe is a comparision with the older KC or other heavy duty clutches. If you figure out a fix let me know, short of ripping all my junk off and installing it myself, I don't know what else to do.

mines super hard to press..infact ive broke 2 clutch cables because of it. i just ordered a aftermarket cable, quadrant, and firewall adjuster, im hoping it will help out. I also had to use washers too. my buddys 90 lx has a spec stage 2 in it, and i love driving his car, its super easy to press. ive even broke my seat now because its so hard to press. i cant wait to **** can it and get my spec.

I have it and it is awesome. Like stated above, you will get used to it. Just a fair warning, don't drive the stang to the gym on leg day.....don't ask how I know
